From a home kitchen to Main Street.
Rye Cafe began as a weekend baking project — loaves shared with neighbors, pastries traded at school pickup, coffee brewed for friends who kept showing up with empty cups and full compliments. Word traveled quietly through the town, and by the time we were ready, there was a line.
We moved into our space on Main Street and kept the same rules: bake from scratch, source what we can locally, treat every customer like they're stopping by someone's kitchen. Twelve years later, that's still how we run things — just with a bigger oven and a lot more regulars.
